Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was 14. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing wrestling and BJJ before making her first amateur appearance at 18 at WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd became more confident after the win and fought 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all by the start of the round. She then went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen by unanimous decision. It left a blemish on the record of Ladd's amateur. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen started her professional career in 2015, signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta 11, she was able to take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta 16 saw her move into the Bantamweight division after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills defeated McGill, and she was able to end her third round by TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy in an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd was not able to gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks prevailed by a majority vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She defeated Lina by pounding and grounding her, winning the TKO in the second round. In her next fight, she defeated Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd was victorious in round one and was awarded the performance of the Night Prize. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first big fight. Ladd, who won an unanimous decision in a great back-and forth fight between the two fighters, was awarded the Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak with just 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. In her recent fight for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 to replace her fight. She was beaten by a majority verdict.
